Sound familiar?

Let's be honest about most highlight appointments.

You book in, you're one of three heads your stylist is juggling, and you come out with colour that's… fine. A bit flat. A bit brassy. Not quite the tone you asked for, and gone dull within a few weeks. So you start again somewhere else, and hope for better.

Here's what's actually going wrong: colour isn't one-size-fits-all. Warm or cool, bold dimension or the softest grow-out, foils or balayage. The technique and the tone have to be chosen for you. Get that right and your colour looks expensive, natural, and lasts. Get it rushed and generic, and it never quite sits right.

The best thing you can do? Get it sorted first. In one appointment.

Introducing the

Holiday Ready Hair Reset...

Not a "quick trim and out the door" chain-salon appointment. Focused, one-to-one time with an award-winning stylist who's spent over 30 years mastering colour. Before a single foil goes in, we talk about what you want (warmer or cooler, how much dimension, how you want it to grow out) and the colour is built around that. Whether you've got a getaway on the horizon or you just want to feel like yourself again, you'll walk out with colour that finally looks like it was made for you.

01

A bespoke consultation

We start by working out your perfect result: warm or cool, bold dimension or soft grow-out, brightest around the face or all-over. Your colour is designed for you, not poured from a one-size-fits-all formula.

Priceless, and skipped almost everywhere else

02

Half head of highlights

Placed where it shows most, using the right technique for the look you're after: weaves, slices, balayage, or low lights for dimension. Natural, expensive-looking colour that photographs beautifully.

Your Reset, your way

No two heads of hair are the same, so no two Resets are either. In your consultation we'll make three simple choices together, and I'll build your colour around them. Here's what's possible:

1 · Your placement

How your highlights sit

👉 BALAYAGE IN FOIL - this is one of my favourite techniques, it creates a beautiful blend while giving maximum lift, this is perfect for someone who wants a balayage look, but wants brighter or cooler tones, this will give maximum lift.

👉 OPEN AIR BALAYAGE - perfect for brightening the ends of existing blondes, or for someone who likes some warmth in their blonde, this will only give you a couple levels lift TYPICALLY, especially on hair that is darker but more levels can be achieved over seasons!

👉 DIAGONAL WEAVES - this will always give you max dimension and ribbon like effect! I like to leave about a quarter of an inch to half inch in betwen each section, this creates a natural low light effect.

👉 HORIZONTAL SLICES - anything horizontal is going you maximum, solid blonde, I like to use micro slices to ensure a soft grow out.

⚠️ PRO TIP: colour melt either technique for the most seamless finish!

2 · Your depth

Optional low lights

Want a bit of richness woven back in? Low lights add contrast so your blonde never looks flat, from bold and chunky to soft and barely-there, or a subtle shadow root at the top for the easiest grow-out going.

  • CHUNKY LOW LIGHTS - bold, ribbony dimension

  • BABY LOW LIGHTS - soft, minimal dimension

  • PAINTED LOW LIGHTS - bright ends, paint on an angle highest around the face

  • TEASED LOW LIGHTS - diffused dimension, perfect for reverse balayage

  • SLICED LOW LIGHTS - on a diagonal, these are gold 👌

  • MID LIGHTS - soft, faux shadow root effect

3 · Your tone

Warm or cool?

Neither is wrong, but the difference of 10-20 minutes will determine your end result!

👉 YOU WANT WARM BLONDE - don't lift past this tone! Leaving some underlying warmth when creating blondes, brondes or brunettes is NECESSARY! It keeps that undertone we need so that when it fades we don't lose all of the warmth from the toner.

👉 YOU WANT COOL BLONDE - lift to PALEST YELLOW! THis ensures that when the toner fades, you won't see the underlying warmth and it remains neutral!

Not sure which is you? Perfect. That's my job. You bring the inspiration (or none at all), and I'll recommend the look that'll suit you best.

⚠️ Limited summer availability

Kylie works one-to-one from her boutique studio in Woodbury - no double-booking, no rushing, no distractions. Summer is the busiest season: holidays, weddings, and events all land at once, and the good slots go first. Once they're gone, they're gone.

Your stylist

Hi, I’m Kylie Rose!

I fell in love with hair at 15 and never looked back.

Since then, I've owned a salon in New Zealand, styled hair on cruise ships sailing the world, and spent the last two decades building my reputation here in Devon.

I've won awards I'm genuinely proud of:

  • Bridal Stylist of the Year

  • Best Boutique Salon

  • Mobile Hairdresser of the Year

  • Best Wedding Hairstylist (Devon)

But honestly? What I'm most proud of is the moment a client looks in the mirror and sees herself again. Not tired. Not frumpy. Not "letting herself go." Just... her. The version she sometimes forgets exists.

Kind words from some of our previous clients.

Lizzie Lockhart

Kylie was amazing from start to finish. She knew exactly what to do with my hair to create a beautiful hairstyle that lasted all day. She has the right balance of professional, friendly and honest.

Alison Convery

Kylie has been my hairdresser for nearly 3 years now and there is no one better.

She is friendly, professional and an expert in her field. Highly recommended.

Emily Mulford

It was more like hanging out with a friend rather than getting my hair done with a stranger! Kylie is a wonderful, sweet person and I had a fab time. She wants to begin long term prep for my wedding day hair off in the future ❤️ could not recommend her more. Thanks so much Kylie xxx

Gilly Butterworth

Kylie was wonderful. She came and did four teenagers’ hair for a party. They all looked fantastic and so enjoyed the experience. She was so friendly and fun and did beautiful hairstyles. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She made the day very special for the girls.

Still on the fence?

"Is this really worth it?"

A half head and cut at a high-street chain costs similar - but you'd be one of three heads your stylist is juggling, and the protein treatment is extra. Here it's one-to-one with 30 years of colour mastery, protein shot included free.

"I'm not sure what I want"

Perfect - that's what the consultation is for. We'll talk about where you're off to, your hair history, what you love (and hate) about your current look. Then I'll recommend what works for you.

"My holiday isn't for weeks"

Even better. Strong, freshly-conditioned hair copes far better with sun, salt and chlorine - you'll come home still looking good instead of needing a repair appointment.

Don't worry, we can help!
